A different Christmas eve

Experienced a very different Christmas Eve this year

Went for night mass with Jeanne & Shuhui and even though that wasn't my 1st time at church, it was my 1st time spending Christmas at a church.

Was rather surprised by the lightings at the church as they were really good. What's the big hoo-haa over Orchard Road lightings when I can enjoy such beautiful lightings at a much less crowded place.

And a quote from Jeanne ''Who can appreciate lightings at a church when the kids today only go to Orchard Road''

I'm so in love with the lightings that I got Jeanne to zi-lian with me =)

And it was really coincidental that we met a little boy (clad in Chelsea jersey) learning tennis on Xmas eve too!
We wanted to snap a photo of him but by then he had already changed out. -_-

3rd event to note is the ultimate.
Notice what's wrong with this photo?

Yes that's right! The mass is in Chinese!!!

Cos blur Shuhui got the timing wrong - English mass was at midnight. But our consolation was meeting Celest at church (which was quite rare too).

For me personally, what struck me the most was when Celest looked at me into the eye and said ''peace be with you''. Guess I was rather emotional that night 'cause that started me thinking quite a bit. How exactly can one ever seek Peace. According to my company that night, ''you can never find peace'' or ''in food''.
How then can I ever seek peace?

After my 1st Chinese mass, we went for supper at Tanjong Katong. Yums. And since Jeanne couldn't understand 99.99% of the Chinese mass, we went back again for the English mass at midnight! Haa my 1st time attending 2 masses in a row. But as the midnight mass was too crowded, we left very shortly..

No fantastic Xmas feast, no happening Xmas Eve party, just a simple but enjoyable Christmas Eve. =)
