There are some things in life that one has to experience before truly understanding it.
War certainly falls under that category.

Wells, it's not that I have experienced war (neither do I want to experience it), but catching Nanking today really evoked very strong feelings in me.

One might claim that the movie is kinda propaganda but to me, it does reflect (to a great extent) the kind of life that the Chinese experienced during the time of the Nanking massacre. 3 weeks might seem short - but during war, it would seem forever.

I have always heard about how much people suffer during wars, but I can say that it is not until you hear about the stories from the horses' mouths and witness the cruelty through pictures and videos that one can truly relate themselves to the kind of indescribable pain and torture (mental & physical) experienced during war.

It suddenly dawned on me whether what I've witnessed in the documentary is again repeating itself today - I'm referring to the most recent Iraq war.
It's really scary to think about it but I shall keep my peace.

It is only now that I truly understand why the cliched ''For peace and no war'' is still often brought up in pageants & campaigns and widely supported.
For now, I really hope that there will be war no more ever again.
